DEWALT NAMED ONE OF 10 HOT BRANDS BY FORTUNE MAGAZINE!
5/03/2007
A study commissioned earlier this year by FORTUNE magazine identified DEWALT as a “2005 Breakaway Brand.” Their research revealed which brands had exhibited the greatest increases in brand strength as a result of superb brand strategy and execution over the three-year period from 2001-2004. The findings appeared exclusively in FORTUNE magazine"e;s October 31st issue www.fortune.com
The FORTUNE article called the DEWALT brand strategy, “Knowing Your Customer”. It is this strategy that DEWALT has consistently executed since its reincarnation in 1992. The intense focus on the needs of the professional power tool user has enabled DEWALT to quickly become one of the world’s leading manufacturers of industrial power tools.
Chas Seymour, VP Professional SBU EMEA, is extremely pleased to be recognised by Fortune for this honour, he stated that “the strength of the DEWALT brand is the result of the consistent and tireless effort of listening to the end user and driving solutions, along with our distribution partners, back to the job site. This same simple philosophy is at the cornerstone of the DEWALT EMEA business model. We are energized to know that, although we are a few years behind the North American business, we are on the right track to position DEWALT in EMEA as the leader on the job site”
DEWALT was ranked among some of the world’s leading brands such as Google, iPod, Sony Cyber-shot, Gerber, Subway, BP, LeapFrog, Sierra Mist, and Eggo. As DEWALT and other leading brands have found out a strong brand plays a leading role in driving financial performance.
