It seems like only yesterday the DEWALT team was at Phillip Island for the last round of the 2007 season. DEWALT Racing is already off to a flying start for the 2008 V8 season the DEWALT backed Ford Performance Racing drivers Mark Frosty Winterbottom and Steven Richards, have come out of the gates flying. Mark has already secured 2 podium finishes at Clipsal and Eastern Creek.
This year sees us launch the DEWALT Nano Challenge. The challenge is to drive 5 screws into a board as fast as possible. How it works; Start the clock, grab the drill and screws. Drive them in flush or better, stop the clock. This is a test of skill and strength of nerves. We will be tacking the DEWALT Nano Challenge to, New Zealand, Perth, Queensland, Phillip Island, Sandown, Tasmania, and the final round for the year Oran Park. In addition we will also be firing up the DEWALT road show prior to the races see www.DEWALT.com.au closer to the date for full details.
If you can set the fastest time at a Road Show event you could win a ticket to the race that weekend. The fastest time out of the Road Show and the race you will get the chance to be our guests at the final round at Oran Park. This is where the action will really start. All seven finalists including one from New Zealand will shoot out in head to head competition. The fastest person to drive the 5 screws will walk; I should say drive away in a Ford Performance Vehicle GT-P valued at $65000
As well as the DEWALT Nano challenge, we will also be run the well known Tough Man competition throughout the day at each of the race events. If you think that you can hold the DW 389 91/4 circular saw out at full arms length for 2 minutes we will give you the saw!
